Ten questions operators ask before they buy.
Short answers. If one of them is a dealbreaker, better to find out here than on a call.
- Will callers know it is a machine?
- Yes. The first sentence says so: “This is Cody, an AI assistant with [Shop Name]. This call is recorded. I can book a job or get you to a person.” The disclosure comes before any question is asked.
- Can they get a person?
- Yes. A person is one sentence away. Ask for a human, raise a safety issue, or push back, and the call transfers with the context already captured.
- Does it work with our CRM?
- GoHighLevel is live today. ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, HubSpot, Salesforce and workflow tools connect via API, webhook, or your automation layer. We do not describe an integration as connected until it is running on your account.
- How long until it is live?
- 5 days to overflow coverage, then two weeks of daily tune. Those are two separate clocks. The first gets your calls answered, the second gets the answers right for your shop.
- Do you call people back?
- No. EchoCody is inbound only. It answers calls placed to your numbers and web conversations a visitor starts. A consented text or email never triggers a phone call.
- What about missed-call text-back?
- It is the backup, not the product. After a miss or a call that could not book, a consented text names who owns the follow-up and by when. No offer, no special, no marketing on that path.
- How is recording handled?
- Notice comes first, in the opening sentence. Consent is handled for the jurisdiction the call falls under, and recordings are described in the Privacy Policy.
- How does pricing work?
- Monthly platform fee plus a one-time implementation, with minutes included per tier. Overage is $0.45 per minute. Full tiers and terms are on the pricing page.
- How do we know it paid for itself?
- We take a 14-day baseline first, then report five metrics against it: answer rate, book-or-own rate, time to first action, follow-up completion, and unresolved at 48 hours.
- Who is this not for?
- Shops that want outbound AI dialing, blast SMS campaigns, or a cheap text-back app. We do not build any of those.
